Re: GAME THREAD: Panthers v Steelers: Saturday: CUP
The club rarely makes specific comments about injuries and hasn't done for years now, I imagine this is specifically so as not to allow opponents to gain a competitive advantage by attempting to physically intimidate a player carrying or recovering from a specific injury. I also suspect this is a pr...

Re: GAME THREAD: Steelers v Flames : Sun 18th: Cup
This is a legit criticism of Fox; he almost always bottles it when it comes to playing the second netminder. Notable exception being the grand slam year. You do have to wonder why he recruits second netminders that he doesn't really trust, and I can't imagine many younger netminders improve by not p...

Re: GAME THREAD: Steelers v Clan: Sat 10th : League
No real surprise there, especially if you scroll up three posts on this thread. Same it didn't work out for him there as he seemed to be able to at least partially rescue their season least year with their playoff run. Perhaps recruitment wasn't his strongpoint. You do have to wonder how much of the...

Re: GAME THREAD: Steelers v Clan: Sat 10th : League
Can't believe some of you guys are going to sit there with your ears bleeding just to spite Simmsey. If only the players could muster that level of commitment to irrational dislike of the opposition.

Re: Return Of The Iceline
However he also went on about along string of what I would call “ Coach Jargon “ , about a dozen different strategies you should play in different circumstances within games. Frankly, it confused me ( doesn't take much ) but I wonder if the players are a bit confused by it too. Like you, I also got...

Re: Is it time
As I said in the other thread....genuine question.....: When was the last time an EIHL team did well after binning a coach after tanking early/mid season? Gut feeling is this is hardly a recipe for success. Not unless you've got some sort of mercurial coaching talent waiting in the wings that you're...

Re: GAME THREAD: Steelers v Flyers: Sat 3rd: League
To me, you could have cut and paste that interview from one of at least a dozen similar ones he has made in the last 2 seasons... Its time for Fox to leave I'm afraid... better he goes sooner rather than later for me too... :stink: When was the last time an EIHL team did well after binning a coach ...

Re: Return Of The Iceline
Honestly I don't know what some of you were expecting. They are hardly likely to be sticking the boot in, are they? Why would they have to put the boot in, not exactly playing like the Flyers of last season are they? A balanced, accurate take on what's been in front of them is all one would ask for...
