Alex Graham and Cole Shudra - Confirmed

Both have agreed way deals with the Steelers. Alex Graham, who will spend his time with the Sheffield Steeldogs and Cole Shudra, with with Leeds Knights.

We have agreed two way deals with Alex Graham and Cole Shudra.

Alex has had a great summer of training and feel he will take another step forward in his development this year. He’s such a gifted offensive player that we still feel very good about his ceiling so it’s great to see how that progresses throughout the year. Steelers will have first call on him and if we aren’t using him he will be able to play big minutes with the Steeldogs. I’m excited that we are able to keep him here for another year.

Cole is on a Leeds contract with them having first call option but it definitely gives us some available games to use him when we can and also allows him to train with us when possible. He took great strides last year in Leeds with that extra ice time. Another year will only make him a better offensive player. It’s great to have these two back with us

Like both players and pleased they are still part of the Steelers set up, however Shudra at 24, really needs to playing regular EIHL level hockey IMO. I don't think he's quite got enough to play for the Steelers regularly I'm afraid, but would have thought a lower placed team would have been interested to be honest.

Graham really improved last season and if he continues at the same pace this season, I can certainly see him becoming a first team regular.

Hope they both have a great season and we see further development/improvements.

Alex is pretty decent, that's a fact. Currently Cole isn't exactly the legend his dad is, though we really should not put that pressure on him. I do think his brother may be worth a look by Fox though, he isn't that bad, maybe a next season thing, little more experience? But overall both brilliant choices, credit to Fox there.
