I thought we deserved the win, we look a much better skating team than Nottingham and if our shooting was a bit more accurate that would have been a comfortable win.
I'm not sure I get the negativity towards Nevalainen, the last time I looked he was near enough the top of our +/-, so he must be doing something right.
5 points now, we must be close to qualifying in this ridiculous competition.

We played ok in fits and starts without having that real offensive zone quality but our speed, skating and fitness told in the end(hadn't they played last night too?).
Ciampini and Allen are throwback players and their heart and effort is there with no thought of anything being a lost cause. I'm pretty certain goals will come for Ciampini.
My MOM would be Mosey and I thought Raska has a decent game.
Still need a massive improvement I think to compete with Belfast. Hopefully Mitchell coming in can bring us more and I'd think about sitting Connolly (although his popularity essentially guarantees that won't hapoen) or MCNally who to be fair had an ok game today.
The refs? The call on Petgrave and then the one where the Panthers guy lost an edge were ludicrous.

I really don't know what to make of Raska. He has good skills and skates well, but boy he's awful at faceoffs.paul johnston wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 10:33 pmMy MOM would be Mosey and I thought Raska has a decent game.
We really should be looking at someone else taking faceoffs on his line.

Just looked at EIHL stats. Nevalainen leads us in +/-with 8, next is Petgrave with +6.Doom wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 10:09 pmI thought we deserved the win, we look a much better skating team than Nottingham and if our shooting was a bit more accurate that would have been a comfortable win.

This was our first visit this season as we have been away a lot of weekends.
Did I really buy 4 Season Tickets to watch this?
New Tron a good picture, but why show me a kid dancing when there was a call that needed a replay to see what had actually happened.
Output from the Whitehouse was as annoying as last year, I don’t want to woo.
I was surprised that we scored two goals as I don’t think we were that threatening and I don’t think we had a decent shot in the two minutes of 5 on 3.
I thought there were a couple of dodgy calls/missed calls, but they went both ways.
We won - woo, but I’m bored of the Challenge Cup it’s gone on for too long and this was the first game I’ve seen.
Overall a disappointing first night back.

We won, but again it’s not convincing at all
Is it me or do we barely have any creativity and goal scoring threat? When we need to get back into the game, I can’t think of 1 line I’d send out to get us a goal
There’s 1 dman and a couple of forwards that I just don’t know what they bring
Belfast will muller these 2 sides as it stands

Steelers aren't worried about that. The most important thing is whether Latal likes Costa or StarbucksJoesteeler wrote:We won, but again it’s not convincing at all
