Two road wins in Guildford & one in Cardiff are excellent results.
But we’ve lost to both at the Arena!
Our run of November home games is crucial to our season.
Remember Dundee - again 2 heavy victories away but slip up at home!

Take nothing away from this result, it was an awesome comeback, but I agree that its the HoS form that's concerning. This is how last season began, with better form on the road than at home.
Is it as simple as effectively playing a road game on home ice? I don't think so, but with so many Arena games next month, I hope AF can sort it.

You are right R. Playing a road game involves soaking up pressure and breaking out to score a couple when you get the chance. Can't see a baying crowd at the Arena enjoying that !
Maybe a tad more defence is the answer , not charging forward like the Light Brigade ! I seem to remember one of our goals on Saturday was scored by Petgrave assisted by another defender almost in the crease and I did wonder , “how did they both get up there ? “
It's significant that we tend to lose to teams lower down the league who don't or can't pressure us all the time which means we commit a bit too much to attack. Just my thoughts .

Great comeback win against an in form Flames side who have beaten everyone at this point I think?
Good to close the gap on them at the top, hopefully we carry that momentum into Saturday and in particular Sunday.

We were saying that same that we thought this season reminds us of last year, where we played well into November, but then a mixture of injuries and a few losses made the difference ultimately to our title credentials.raetiamann wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 6:53 amTake nothing away from this result, it was an awesome comeback, but I agree that its the HoS form that's concerning. Whilst we can’t win the league before Christmas, we could certainly lose it and the many November home games ideally all need to be won, especially the double header against Belfast.

Conns' goal was apparently his 100th in the EIHL.
