I can’t say anything more than anyone else has already said.

Absolutely devastating news. All my thoughts and best wishes go to Adam and his family at this terrible time.

As already mentioned, suitable help and counselling needs to be offered to all the players and staff involved.

Perhaps the Elite League could honour Adam with a league shirt retirement? Too early at the moment of course.

RIP Adam.

A useful link for any of the fans that witnessed the incident, especially children.

I honestly don’t know what to say, I can’t find the right words or process what happened last night at the arena.

All my thoughts go out to Adam, his family, friends and his loved ones.

Rest in peace Adam Johnson.

It sounds weird but I have no emotion towards it. I don’t know what to do I am sort of frozen.

I know when Bratislava Capitals lost a player on the ice a few years back they pulled out of the season.

I wasn’t at the game but I’m sure many in here were. Please make sure you access the appropriate support if required. It may even take a while for mental effects to show.

GP, Mind, Samaritans, PTSD UK, Sole Survivor & perhaps most importantly family & friends.

Absolutely heartbreaking, can't imagine the pain his family and team mates are feeling right now. I hope everyone who was on the ice last night has the support network they need in place. RIP #AJ47

Obviously last night people bought 50/50 tickets and shirt off your back tickets, I don't think anyone in their right mind would want a shirt from last night so how about if Steelers gave the money to an Adam Johnson memorial fund or something like that?

I wasn't there or watching but following on Twitter. Just devastating, my thoughts with Adam's family and friends, and everyone who was there. I hope Petgrave is getting the support he will undoubtedly need as well.

Rest easy, AJ.

For any fella's over the age of 18 who feel the need to discuss or access support via peer to peer support until professional help can be accessed can I suggest Andy's Man Club.

There's branches throughout the region who will be meeting at 7pm on Monday, as they do each week.
Each group has a crisis / Safeguarding Lead, who can access immediate support if required also.

I know many of us blokes don't like to talk about stuff, but after a rocky few years I've found that talking actually helps and will be attending my group tomorrow as always.

Take care everyone x

Heartbreaking news to wake up to, I was following last night via social media & felt numb upon hearing what had happened, I can't even begin to imagine how his family, friends & team mates must be feeling right now.

We must look after those players that were on the ice last night, especially Matt Petgrave who will be distraught.

RIP Adam Johnson, the hockey world has lost a wonderful person.

If you are one of the Steeler fans who took the time to visit Bolero Square outside the NIC I'd like to say thank you, reflects well on you as a person.
