With regards to the tragedy which happened to Adam Johnson may I suggest that making Neck Guards compulsory in the league should be considered. Efforts to prevent any similar incidents would be a fitting response to what has happened. We already do this for our juniors but even our adult players are someone's child.

I can't see how they reasonably cannot make wearing them mandatory after last night's tragic events.

I think the need to be made compulsory. The neck guards now are far less restrictive than the ones years ago.

It's another yes vote for mandatory neck guards for me. I really can't see an argument against them.
If it's already mandatory in juniors then players will not know any different if/when they turn pro having always played with one.
