There we go.

That’s all it takes. Whilst I still believe in his position he should know better, a simple apology makes a difference rather than justifying and thinking he’s done no wrong.

The cynic in me suggests that apology was encouraged rather than heart felt.

It doesn’t change my opinion of him personally, but at least the right thing has been done at last.

Sorry but I don't buy it.
It doesn't seem genuine and comes across like, as previously stated, he's been told to do it.

An apology on the day or morning after would have been the time to do so.

He's an idle journalist at best and one of the 'old boys club'. I had a low opinion of him before and I really don't know if I'll ever feel any different about him now.

I’ve read that a few times and I’m
sorry but I don’t see that as an apology, more of a deflection and justification of his actions.

It shouldn’t have needed someone to mention a proper fatality. The fact that people were screaming and visibly upset should have been enough for the alarm bells to go off.

I wasn’t there, my son was and he called me as he was leaving the arena, he was clearly distressed and even then I knew what the outcome was.

There is no ownership, humility and learning from that post. In fact, I feel it makes it even worse. I sincerely hope I never have the pleasure of meeting this man.
