Belfast are going to get humped tonight. And tomorrow night...Half of the team Belfast team have either left, are suspended, or are injured. Half of what is left doesn't give a rat's ass about playing, it's just a wage. We have an ex-football player, for god's sake, on the bench. If Sheffield doesn't run riot tonight, I will be dumbfounded.

Ahh the classic lowering expectations game They may be short benched but I'd be very surprised if they don't realise these games could be title deciders and play as hard as they can.

I really wish I was playing silly buggers. This team is a pale shade of last year's.. Besko and Conway won most games last year.. This year we really, really miss a goal scorer and a netminder..At present, we have neither. Besko, sitting at 88% SVS. 2 players in the top 20 for points.. Anyway. Webcast bought and beers to numb the pain are in the fridge. Enjoy the game.

And here's me thinking you had brought in a team full of NHL'rs while you are playing in the CHL.

You had 14 imports tonight according to the Elite site, if half of your players are missing are you really suggesting you have 28 imports on your books.

First period we were excellent, second we allowed them back in to it when we hit penalty trouble. Third we saw the game out nicely.
Think we were actually outshot tonight, seemed that way anyway.
Not sure what's going on with Belfast this year,Besko looks a shadow of his former self.....a season too far maybe?

How short benched were they?

The team sheet on the Elite site shows 14 imports + 3 Brits......hardly decimated with injuries like they were last season.

I thought that was an excellent performance by our guys who deserve huge credit after what they've gone through.

The only negatives for me were the dumb 5 minute penalty to Allen and Sam Jones 2 minutes.

I'm just loving what Juusola brings to this team. He's fast, skilled and tenacious.....we've really hit the jackpot with this signing.

It's still early doors, but I do get a better feeling with this years Steelers team.
