Whilst I don’t believe we deserved to win this one there were a couple of questionable calls from the officials tonight.

Pretty sure the rested Belfast team gave them the edge for this one and I’ll say again, play physical against the Steelers and we go into a shell.

The extra quality needed wasn’t there for us today.

Definitely bent. Not soft calls but blatant calls against Steelers. That Whistle calls was never a call in a million years.
You are accusing officials of being corrupt, that usually needs evidence to avoid being sued for defamation, and you open this forum up to being involved in legal action which we will not tolerate. I suggest you edit the post before I do.

I may disagree with a call but I never would believe it was because they were intentionally making a wrong call.

Edited.
This is a fan forum ( yes which you and Jay own, run, whatever)
I don't think for a minute that an official from a ice hockey game will read my comments let alone try and take me for defamation.
Never the less to avoid any upset I altered it.
I think you will find that sporting forum owners have been dragged into legal actions before which means you really don't know what you are talking about.

I didn't see the game, but listening to Fox post game he was quite happy with our performance.

He said it was two very good teams competing against each other and we didn't take our chances at the start of the 3rd which probably cost us.

It's going to be small margins between the likes of Sheffield, Belfast and Cardiff. Maybe the extra rest gave Belfast the edge in this one, but there will be games where that works in our favour.

I think it will be tough now to get back into the title race, because I just don't see Belfast dropping enough games. To overtake them we'll need to be close to perfect from now until the end of the season. I do think competing in the CHL contributed to our poor run of form, especially losing Greener, which has probably cost us a run at the title....we shall see.

Looking at the stats we did better than I expected on facroffs, it was close to 50/50. Watling had a very good night in the circle, but Dowd and Simpson struggled a little.

The only -2 on our team was Balmas. The only plusses were Sauce, Diffley and Vally, who were all +1.

On to Manchester next Saturday.....let's put together another long winning streak.

Regards

Game On

Last season league title was in or own hands, this season it is getting to point where it is not in our hands and we will be relying on other teams to beat the big boys and do us a favour,,,,

so with giants winning tonight against manchester they are 5 points clear of us, we play them once more i believe so can only take 2 points off them. The other points will now have to come as already said from relying on other teams taking the points off them. Title is theirs to lose,,,

Devils face the Giants another four times this season, as a Devils fan I'd like to think we can take points off them. They have edged away from us by a point after both playing thirty games. You guys are five points behind them and have to play us another three times. I'd not say the title is theirs to lose just yet with four teams very much in with a chance.
