A very good weekend with 10 goals scored and 2 conceded.
The most pleasing thing for me this weekend was that 9 of the 10 goals were scored by forwards.
Up until this point we'd been relying quite heavily on goals from defence.
Balmas starting to do what Balmas does so well. Hopefully this is the start of a good goal scoring run from him.
I think this means we've now qualified for the next stage of the Challenge Cup, now we need to aim for that number one seed.
Regards

A good result that but I was surprised how quiet it was, I thought it might be more feisty. Couldn't pick a man of the match for Devils as no one stood out, a very different team from last year, as for Steelers it was job done in the 2nd.
A very solid performance with a deserved win. Thommo might be sacked in the morning at this rate
Unsung heroes of Tait and Tremblay who I thought were excellent every shift.
Hopefully it’s onward and upwards now. We’ve certainly improved from the last game I watched (the 2-0 loss against Coventry).
Juusola might have to fight for his place when he recovers from injury.
As a stream only fan these days, can we get another person to help Fearnley out as it’s a bit stale just listening to ‘stats R us’. Where’s Mr Shudra senior? If he’s not available surely the Steelers can find someone to help out on commentary duties? It needs some colour.

That was much better. It’s good to see passes going to sticks and players not getting in each other’s way.
I don’t think Cardiff will challenge for much if that’s the best they can do. I thought we were coasting in the third period of that game.
If Juusola will be competing for a place when fit where does Seitz fit in?

That was good - especially after going in 0-0 after the first.
Every player contributing, good to see Heard and Dougherty get on the board, and the good looks starting to come a bit easier.
Special teams really are a bit special at the moment. PP looks good, and PK are so dialled in (apart from everyone dropping down gears after the 4th goal).
Mention for Southorn too - apparently he just fancied a year off in France last year, because he looks like the guy who was very solid in the DEL/Czechia right now. Knows when to play the body, and his poke check is outstanding. Skates really well too.

Fitness permitting, I hope Fox now sticks with those top two forward lines so that they can build some chemistry.
3rd and 4th I'd say are a bit more flexible, with Juusola and Shudra still to come back.
Interesting to see who sits when everyone is fit. Probably Seitz and one of the defence.
