The last time we played them on home ice I was full of praise for their coach and the job he'd done with a limited budget. Despite us dominating the game, they were well organised and did a very good job of keeping us to the perimeter.
Since then Coventry have gone into free fall and we've beaten them comfortably on their own ice a couple of times.

I certainly got this one wrong. Here’s me thinking Coventry are poor this season. On this game we’ve made them look like Stanley Cup winners.
Our passing tonight could be described as sloppy at the best.
4 power plays with not even a decent threat.
Poor day at the office.

The defending by Dougherty for Blaze 2nd was diabolical
Fox doesn’t appear to have a Plan B for when sides come to the arena just to defend.
Yes, we had lots of shots on goal, but I could have saved most of those. Robson didn’t exactly have any highlight reel saves to make and it was easy for him all game.
I’m afraid Dougherty, Pu and Gentile just aren’t good enough for me and we need to change one or two if we want to win any silverware this season.

Very disappointing, especially considering our main rivals slipped up.
I've said it before, but we're really lacking a faceoff winning 1st line centre. Pu is a 2nd or 3rd line guy, there he'd be fine for us.
We had to leave with 10 minutes to go for the tram, but the 3 powerplays we did see we lost all 3 first faceoffs and the puck got dumped down the ice.
Sign a faceoff winning 1st line centre and we'll probably win the league, but I suspect we'll stick with what we have.

Oh no… Doesn’t sound like we missed much not going to this one. I feel like Pu is well capable of some really clever flashes of play but needs a finisher or someone who can compliment him, I’ve felt watching him he always seems to be “on his own” a little bit - can’t quite put my finger on it. I’m not sure who would best fit that bill. Would he be better on a wing? Although that leaves a centre gap…
Wondering if Seitz iced for Blaze? And how he did if so.
Thanks for posting the updates guys :-)
