Flames netminder Favio looked pretty good all night.
He's been superb recently, hitting over 94%......He's a riddle we'll have to solve tomorrow.

This went much better than I expected and makes tomorrow a very exciting occasion. Guildford recently humiliated the Giants in Belfast though, so this is far from over.

I'd now make this a 50/50 tie, I just hope our team play with the intensity this ocassion demands.

Regards

We'll need another shift from Greenfield just like tonight to keep them out too. While this line seems to have gone, I'd like to see the Harper/Heard/Ritchie line make a comeback tomorrow night.
Steelers to win by 1 at FT.

Thought this game would be close. Happy with a draw.

Pretty sure we’ll have enough for the home leg to progress to the semi-finals weekend.

Sounds like Guildford tried to up the physicality, a tactic I would always use against Fox coached teams.

Think there were more fights in this game than all season under Fox’s non-contact hockey. :D

Other 1st leg results have pretty much gone for the higher seeded teams, other than Nottingham who I know like to make the playoff weekend a neutral venue :D

Belfast will have some work to do though, with only a slender one goal lead going into Glasgow.

All to play for tomorrow, will we see any DOPS suspensions for Tansey or the Guildford player?

Obviously a win would have been good but I am pleased not to have to come from behind tomorrow. It should hopefully be a good game

Decent enough result that. Leaves it in our hands.

Hope jasper plays, daughter (10) favourite player so wants to see him one more time (who knows if he’s here next season)

I might be wrong, but I thought Jasper was on a 2 year contract.

Fingers crossed purely for selfish reasons. You try telling her, her favourite player has left again.

She’s just got over Watling!

Highlights, including a rather excitable commentator:

A goaltending masterclass.

Racine deserves his suspension, well done Tansey for sticking up for Jasper.
