I think the EIHL call them ‘Power Breaks’.

For me, either all teams have them, or none do, seems daft to me that some teams do and some don’t
If there is a revenue opportunity, I’m surprised we don’t have them at the arena.
Sorry if I have missed something but do we know why Dowd hasn't been playing?mark wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2026 9:46 amStats don't always indicate how a game has been played. There were significant periods where it looked more like a Steelers powerplay so good was our offensive zone possession and the passing was quick and accurate, this was still an improved performance compared to some this season. The impact of missing the best British player in the league was also a factor, Dowd logs plenty of ice time and is usually worth a point a game. I don't like losing at any time but that was not a disappointing performance, just a disappointing result.

Injury I believe, not aware of anything else. Fox rarely makes any comments about the status of injured players and when he does it's very vague, if it's something else, perhaps of a more personal matter then he's right to make no comment.jas wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2026 1:10 pmSorry if I have missed something but do we know why Dowd hasn't been playing?mark wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2026 9:46 amStats don't always indicate how a game has been played. The club rarely makes specific comments about injuries and hasn't done for years now, I imagine this is specifically so as not to allow opponents to gain a competitive advantage by attempting to physically intimidate a player carrying or recovering from a specific injury.
I also suspect this is a privacy courtesy to players and perhaps even a legal requirement. If you were unable to work due to illness or injury you wouldn't expect details of it to be all over your employers' website.
