Call me a doom and gloom merchant if you like but we are getting closer to the projected season start of late September and restrictions have still not been lifted. Given that you can toss a coin for when they will be lifted and, I suspect, many more hoops need jumping through before crowds are allowed inside arenas, does a late late September start seem feasible I wonder?
I know there is still 2 month to go but it is not a lot.

I think that the season is due to start towards the end of September, so there is 3 months to go. I think that we should be OK but nothing is certain nowadays.

I would have thought 90%+ of the adult population would have been offered both jabs so I’m pretty confident the season will start in September.

Half empty arenas will not work for our sport from a financial point of view, so if for some reason its not possible to play in front of normal attendances the season will not start. That would be a serious problem I think for UK ice hockey if the season couldn’t start.
