Is the 19 player limit a good thing? I know it holds costs down but we have seen it makes for very easily depleted teams. Most teams need a 5 or 6d set up . If you go to 4 and one gets in the bin it becomes too big a penalty. If you assume you are really playing 3 lines and perhaps carry one extra forward things are still very tight. I think the spectacle is really diminished by 19 and I would favour allowing 20. What do others think?

It’s a bad idea on the hockey side, it’s all about £££ as you say.

Even if they said you can have 19 plus an optional U23 Brit who wouldn’t cost much if anything. Being able to roll 4 lines would make a huge difference and bring us back up to standard with all other European leagues.

The league the 2/3 years pre-covid was quality, bit of a drop of in overall import quality this season along with the 19 issue but hopefully as we move out of the pandemic we can revert.
