I’m wondering if I’ve missed something and this is our first pre-season game here?
It looks like we’ve not played together before.
We’ve created very little and we look completely disjointed.
Need a big 3rd period here if we want to get anything from this one.
Very poor so far.

A very poor performance for me. 5 power plays with no end result is also no where near good enough.
This is only the second full game I’ve seen so far and my initial thoughts are we’re a team of flat track bullies. When Greenfield makes the pass of the game, it says it all for me.
Pu (whose wallpaper wouldn’t go in the corners), Southorn,, Dougherty (did he actually play?) and Seitz haven’t impressed me one bit so far.
Missed Shudra (Senior) on the stream too. Although his son had a poor game for him too.
A very bad day at the office.

What I feared to be honest.
Coventry have a hot netminder and ride that by working their socks off to protect him.
Yet again they're heavily out shot and out chanced according to the stats, but the truth is they out worked us, out coached us and did a great job of protecting a very good netminder.
Apart from a very good second half of the game in Nottingham, I'm far from convinced by this team.
Fox has a lot of work to do to make us title challengers.
A very disappointing effort, particularly on the powerplay.

Agree with Doom and SMB , so what’s wrong?
Are we not listening to the coaches, ignoring the systems, not interested, not getting on with each other?
Whatever it is we’re nowhere good enough to win anything at present and we don’t seem to be improving.
Worrying and very disappointing!

Looking at the game sheet, Coventry effectively only had 12 imports to our 15, including only 3 in defence.
Of those 12 imports, I think there are very few we would have been happy with if they'd signed for us.
It certainly is a case of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. What a fabulous job Moore has done with that squad of players. They get sticks in passing lanes, they block shots and if a man gets skated past by an opposition player, there's quickly somebody across to cover them. That is all coached and practiced in training. They won't win anything this year because they don't have the quality, but they will punch above their weight and cause upsets.
As for us, we looked like we'd only just met.
