Really pleased we've managed to get Kirk on our roster.

With Connolly added as well, that's a very strong 5 to start with.

For my own sanity I've watched 3 Dogs games to date, even though this is only a tin pot tournament, I can't wait to see the Steelers take to the ice.

If they're available I'd like to see Tron and Hrabal back.

Pretty happy with that, our 1st 5 protected 3 1st round pick quality players. Added a few of the guys we see as long term Steelers too (S. Jones, Graham, Churchfield, Warburton).

Big body with a depth of experience at the EIHL level (935 games). Also CHL experienced and is the most decorated EIHL player of all time, he’s a winner pure & simple. Should solve our usually poor bottom six faceoff issue too, good in PK.

Jason Hewitt:

Getting on a bit now is out Jason but you know you’re going to get 100% every night from him in any role Fox wants him. Was always a cracking role player with a bit of bite. Another 650+ games of EIHL experience with multiple titles. Scoring well at the Steeldogs too so if he gets the odd chance at this level he’ll be confident.

Somewhat of a coup to pick Waller up. Hugely exciting prospect from Guildford who’s played good quality minutes there over 2 seasons. Been very impressed whenever I’ve seen him, very speedy and offensive minded. Might be able to win him over permanently .

Adam Jones:

Decent sized D man (6”2” 200+lbs) and brother of Sam. Plays good minutes at NIHL level and is considered one of the better D men in the division. He’ll be hungry to prove he can step up with an EIHL side I’d have thought another a few small stints at Guildford & Belfast.

6”1” winger joining from Glasgow where he played under Fitzgerald who I imagine would’ve referenced him. Not prolific at the EIHL level but is decent enough defensively and a regular on the Glasgow PK.

Steelers have added 21 year old Hungarian/British dual-national forward Bálint Pákozdi as final pick.

He’s a former Hungarian youth international and spent time at the Okanagan UK Academy. He’s played last few years in NA in the USPHL. He’s currently in the NIHL Spring Cup with Swindon.
