Stars have proved themselves to be tough, hard working opponents. They may not be the most skilled but no push overs.
Think 2 mins for that boarding was a bit lenient.
Also think Barry’s had better games. We may be struggling to score goals easily but the team spirit means we don’t give up and that’s important.
Dowd seems to have that record goals monkey on his back. He’s been unlucky at times but he may feel more liberated when the goal comes. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s affecting others too.
Keep on rolling Steelers!

Slightly off topic but I noticed Leeds Knights had a game last night yet Brandon played for us. They Had first dibs on him previously, I wonder if that has now changed with his dad moving on

I thought it was an entertaining game, but boy do we make life difficult for ourselves.
1st period we should have been out of sight, but somehow we found ways not to score. We'll need to be far more clinical when we play Belfast and Cardiff.
Ultimately though it's about the results and somehow we keep finding ways to win.......long may that continue.

Having watched the highlights I think Brust will want a couple of those back. Also thought #67’s goal could have been disallowed, whilst no kicking motion he certainly used his skate to angle it in. I’m afraid I don’t agree with Kit Kats been thrown on the ice. Not a great idea IMO.

The biggest concern for me was watching us dominate but fail to score. Fox has even said it himself a few times recently that we've not taken advantage of the grade A scoring chances we've been creating.
The players we signed at the start of the season in general are doing fine, it's some of the new guys who are struggling.
Fortunately Vallerand has been on fire, but can we keep relying on him to carry us?
Our 2nd half of the season is going to be tougher than the 1st, we really could do with seeing a bit more offensive output from some of the guys further down the roster.

Just to add, it could be worse.
Panthers had over 100 shots on goal over the weekend and managed 2 goals......both scored by defencemen.
They really do have serious problems converting chances into goals.

This maybe an unpopular view but I dont rate any of the new guys Tommaso Traversa,
Vojtech Polak or Matias Sointu above average at best..
I am very grateful for the job they have done and to clarify I dont think we could have done without them, especially covering long and short term injuries to Brendan Connolly etc
But I would not pen anyone of them in for a new contract when a new season comes around, just my honest view

We needed bodies and these guys have come in and done a job, but I'd be surprised to see any of them here next season.
Latal I'd love to see back, which I didn't expect to be saying after we signed him.
