Kirk not played in any of Tucson's first six games. They make a 5-1 start, sitting second in their division. Saturday's p.s win over San Jose featured an 8 man line brawl at the first face off !

you would really hope that he sets his sights higher than the EIHL for the next stage of his career if the NHL/AHL doesn't materialise. My concern would be if he gets reassigned to Atlanta and gets stuck on the ECHL treadmill, whether he would have the desire to grind it out week on week with that.

I'm sure there would be teams interested from Europe, I can't see him back in the EIHL for a while yet.Panthersfan wrote: ↑Mon Oct 31, 2022 12:45 pmyou would really hope that he sets his sights higher than the EIHL for the next stage of his career if the NHL/AHL doesn't materialise. Kirk finally got some ice time in the 4-1 home loss to Coachella Valley on Friday night. 0 pts, 2min penalty which led to a pp goal. Didn't play in the second game on Saturday, which Tucson also lost

Looks like his experience is coming to a close! If he's not been injured, it does appear as if the opportunities are now limited with the way the AHL working alongside the draft system. Each year the NHL draft generates extra players to each of the farm teams, so his situation gets more difficult as the season passes. If he's not a 'top dog' then the chances of him getting a call-up diminish by the week. He could drop down to the East cost league but he would be better coming back to Europe I think! weather its with us or better still a top continental team.
I can only wish him the very best and hope he's just had some niggling injury that's prevented his progress.

I saw that on Wikipedia but couldn’t find anything confirming it.
I guess if he needs game time to get back to full match fitness it’ll be a good thing. I hope it’s not because the Roadrunners don’t rate him.
