GAME THREAD: Guildford Flames v Sheffield Steelers Sunday, 30th October 6:00pm

[SteelerBlade]

We make 2 changes.

Matt Crowle backs up in place of Lewis King.

Allen comes back in.

We’re without Mitchell, Mosey, David Phillips, Warburton & Östlund.

[SteelerBlade]

Guildford name 18 players.

Eamonn McAdam starts in goal.

They’re without Taz Burman, Zach Milton, Levi Cable & Morgan Clarke-Pizzo.

[paul johnston]

Tough ask tonight against a very hot Flames. Not yet quite a must win game, but we could do with the win in normal time to close the gap.

Biggest game of the season so far for me.

Last trip to Guildford in League play, they’ve had 950+ miles of travel over the last two days so we have no excuses for bus legs, their’s will be worse.

We need a fast start I think to put the pressure on. I’ll be watching the stream as finally it’s not a CC game

COME ON YOU STEELERS!

Enjoy the "must be new to hockey" commentators!!!

Jones is also out according to the stream announcements.

[SteelerBlade]

Guildford open the scoring through Sam Marklund. 1-0.

[smbmetal]

Easy goal. Sam Jones is playing by the way.

Piche should have done better for their goal.

[smbmetal]

O’Connor. Is it us that’s had the 950 mile round trip? 2-0

[SteelerBlade]

A trademark Ben O’Connor slap shot puts a dominant Guildford side 2 up and cruising. 2-0.

[SteelerBlade]

First PP of the game goes our way, Mike Crocock for cross-checking.

Nothing doing.

End of 1st 2-0. Got to be much better to compete with Guildford.
