Just to add, have we used a University place yet?
Apparently that's how Belfast attracted Tedesco, who should be an outstanding acquisition for them.

University place and a good wage. No doubt the university place will be a perk you don’t retain players like Tedesco (80 points last season) in this league at he’s age if your not offering the cash.

We may have signed some decent players and it's just not been released, or not. That's the problem when you rely on Steelers media to keep you informed, they have a track record of exaggeration and deception to the extent that only the newbies and davidians believe what's put out, and the "The Stir" has been nothing more than a echo chamber for their press releases for many years. On a quick glance at the squad so far unless the remaining "top line" signings are real crackers I can't see us being much better than last season, which is exactly what I expected.

So far my feelings for the coming season are about the same as when last season finished, but that is without knowing the calibre of players we have yet to bring in, i was hoping by now i would be feeling excited and confident about the new season but sadly at this stage im not

Gotta be honest, after so many years, I’m finding it all a bit boring now. Either I’ve grown out of it or there is nothing about the team or club to get excited about.
The record hasn’t changed for many years now.

Can't say till all announced. If we sign the expected D rumoured, and 2 genuine looking top line forwards then I think we're there or thereabouts.
As said on another thread, all coaches generally have much better access to video and advanced analytics. I can't remember in the last 3 years a top side signing someone clearly not good enough - a few that haven't worked out, but not bad hockey players.
This, plus the rumour accounts essentially spilling signings before announcement probably quashes some of the excitement

Once the roster is complete and even if looks good on paper, it then comes down to how they are coached and allowed to play......time will tell. Hoping for a squad that leaves nothing on the ice every game from the off
