Vaxjo may step it up a gear or more in next 2 periods, but the Steelers more than lived with them first period.. I guarantee teams we face coming up are taking note... We are not the whipping boys some may have been hoping for....

In all seriousness though, another outstanding period. Defense absolutely top draw - Saucerman perfect.

On this showing we will definitely be there or thereabouts for all the trophies again

I think we need to keep this up. Very impressive so far.

Dowd seemed to just stand his ground. No need for handbags but I guess the top dogs are feeling the pressure a bit.

Dowd never ever takes any crap from anyone, he never haver, whoever they are whatever their size.. Arguably one of our meanest players...

You’re right Jay, that’s one of his great qualities.

I’d guess he got an interference call for that and his opponent edit it was unsportsmanlike not roughing.

I think ref's angle made it look like interference but linesman had a word, so when vaxjo player reacted it made it an easy even up

Pound for pound you'd struggle to find anyone tougher in the league.

Zero to hero there for Ciampini. Silly pen 1-1 then he scores 1-2
