According to Czech sports tabloid ISport, in which the player confirmed it in interview, the Steelers have agreed a deal with 33 year old Czech winger Martin Látal.
In 15 Elite Series games he scored 13 points in 15 games.
I'm getting the impression the elite league series hasn't been much of a success for us.
We didn't win.
Of the new (inport) players, Muse, beaudry already confirmed elsewhere. Our choice or theirs? Olden of course known to not be an option.
Leaves Mikyska, ASD, and Shulze. I'd take the first two for sure, not convinced about Shulze.
To be fair Waller would be the big prize for me.

Spisska Nova Ves look to be a team on the up, newly promoted so maybe some money to be made.
Still the unknown about the standard of the 8 import series so all the top players looked better than they would be in a regular EIHL season.

According to Bob Westerdale of the Sheffield Star, the Cardiff Devils are leading the race for Josh Waller, with Sheffield & Guildford also working in a deal.
I would hope after Fox giving him the chance to shine like he did and picking him so high up in our draft (our 3rd pick I think), he would give the Steelers serious consideration and a little credit for wanting him in the first instance..

Depends on his thinking, if he wants to develop with ice time he chooses Guildford.
Then it’s a straight £££ + responsibility shoot out between us & Cardiff if not, with us having a minor advantage of the relationship.
If he wants to stay with us thats definitely a bonus, but no way I would enter a bidding war with Cardiff, his talent's although good would not be worth the top dollar, to the risk of the rest of the budget..
