I've no problem with Barry as our number 2, but we're in trouble if he's our first choice.
When he had a run of games around Christmas he did look like he was starting to show some good form, but therein lies the problem, with his age and fitness levels he rarely had a run of games to get into form.

So basically the last 2 signings that are being announced on Tuesday, presumably at 6:00JoeySlats#13 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 9:31 amIf / when he returns, I'm sure he'd be part of a tandem.smbmetal wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 9:02 amI noticed he's also on the Mascot packages page with his lovely brown pads on the Steelers website as well.
I'd be happy if he was our number 2, if he's our number 1 then we won't be challenging for any silverware.
He would have been a fantastic signing 5 years ago.
Also he has a lot of experience to share with Warburton and McLaughlin

No they aren't our last 2 signing announcements we still have 8 to announce I think (including those 2 on Tuesday).

Best stats by far for his DEL team last season, out of all 4 Netminders. Can’t see him dropping to EIHL but one can hope..House_of_Steel wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 2:24 pmRumoured Tyler Parks will be joining us

This one looks like wishful thinking to me, but I'd be delighted if we do sign him.Morpheous wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 10:58 amBest stats by far for his DEL team last season, out of all 4 Netminders. I certainly don't think we could afford his wages, but maybe wages + Uni course?
Unlikely, but finger crossed.

I'd have thought they would have announced him by now. Maybe he's holding out for more £'s

The most important signing we have to make.
Get it wrong and we will be left chasing our tail. Get it right and we will be in the mix when it comes to handing out the silverware.
I would be pretty averse to having Brust back; granted he has the experience but he didn't exactly live up to the "stud" goalie tag we were hoping he was going to be. We have to be looking at better options if we can afford to.
