The shirt launch they held at ice Sheffield a few years ago now, can't remember the year, was done in that way after the players were intraduced on the ice in the bottom room in between the pads and worked quite well and I am pretty sure lots and lots of fans got player signatures that year. But it did seem rather sterile and too organised and the queues went all the way to the bar. And player interaction was quite limited, a bit like a fan conveyor belt lol
