I must admit I did postpone my ironing for this onebladerunner wrote: ↑Mon Nov 10, 2025 9:30 amMy son travelled 2 hours tonight to be at this game, frankly he waisted his time. Shame the team didn't bother to turn up. Worst hockey I have seen in a long time. Cardiff were good but we were beyond poor. Time to make some changes somewhere before we get to the Christmas rush.
I do agree that we need a couple of changes. Mr Heard has certainly been a positive one up to now. I was looking forward to seeing his feisty side, but he appears to have kept that under wraps so far. An ideal opportunity to send a message in this game at 4-0 down rather than just a few verbal's across the benches. That doesn't mean fighting by the way. Just a bit of rough stuff/sore loser to keep them on their toes.
For me, even though we've had a decent winning start, I've not particularly enjoyed one game so far this season, even when we've won. We're missing the old Steelers identity of fast in your face hockey, with a never say die type attitude. Another reason I don't bother with the live games at the arena these days. The higher prices and entertainment value is poor in my eyes.
I don't believe we'll win any silverware this season with the current team as it is. They'll fall just short like last season, hence needing a couple of changes.
I also think, as I've mentioned a few times already, that the league in general is poor in terms of quality and entertainment compared to recent seasons.
