I very much doubt the club will or can enforce the wearing of a face mask for games. Encourage the use of them perhaps but not enforce.

I think it will be down to the individual(s) and an unfortunate risk of re-opening with no legal restrictions in place.

I’ve decided that I’ll wear mine when moving around the arena but won’t when watching the game.

Question about the 3 Parking Tickets lost from season tickets at the end of 19/20.

Dom confirms that he intends to match the Steelers free games (Play off quarter final and 2x Belfast Giants games).

Question about Covid certification.

Dom confirms that the current plan is to check Covid certification (double jabbed) or production of a negative covid test.

This will be checked by security! on entry and concourse will be open earlier to help.
Hopefully that won't create large queues.

I'm sure everyone is aware how to prove their Covid certification/status, but just in case, the below link explains how to get proof, including an old school letter incase you don't have a smart phone.

We had to get the letter from the NHS for a visit to the Isle of Man, soon after the island opened up, and we were quite surprised the validity of the document was only 30 days. Thing is we were still jabbed on day 31 & onwards.

I was disappointed to see from the photographs that very few were wearing masks despite it being a busy indoor event. Those who forecast that this was an unsafe event for the medically vulnerable were correct. Clapped for the NHS but wouldn't wear a mask to help prevent the spread to others.

We can do better than this.
Do you know if the club have talked about wearing facemasks at the games yet?
I would think that this needs to be a decision made in agreement with SIV as it would be their stewards who would have to enforce any policy. I was just disappointed with those who chose not to wear a mask and with the club for choosing such a small venue in the middle of a pandemic. There was a chance to show some leadership and maybe go for a larger venue where distancing would have been easier.

Can’t imagine it’ll be mandatory if you need double jab/negative test.

Nottingham have published their policy

Quote.

Fans will notice a few changes around the arena in the wake of the pandemic and all of them have been brought in for safety reasons.
The arena is introducing a new fast-track scanning system which means tickets will be checked before you even enter the building. Once you are through the doors you will have no more checks to go through.
The Elite League has adopted a double-jabbed policy for players which is being incorporated into the registration system run by the EIHL Head of Hockey Operations and whilst it may not be the law, for everyone’s safety, we would really prefer if everyone coming to the upcoming games was double-jabbed (apart from those with exceptions or youngsters).
It is, after all, an indoor arena so Panthers’ staff will continue to wear face masks when dealing with the public and the more fans who do the same at least until they reach their seats the more protected everyone may feel.
If you want to keep your masks on throughout your visit you are welcome to do so. We want spectators to feel safe and secure throughout their visits to our matches.
To that end we are aiming to cut down the face-to-face interactions as best we can so the club will change the way we operate the fifty-50 and shirt off his back raffles. The plan means we will extend the online sales that have proven very popular throughout the pandemic. You will still be able to buy tickets actually at home games because there will be QR codes all around the building so you can join in the fun by buying tickets on your ‘phones.
You’ll have just as much chance of winning if you buy before you leave home through the website or the links on social media. Tickets will be on sale throughout the week in the build up to games.
At least to begin with there will be little if any ice level interaction with the players at home games. This means for now we will have to shelve the birthday photographs with players but we will be having something different in its place. More details soon.
Player and fans’ safety and protection, as ever, is paramount. It has been and continues to be a difficult time but we are confident of a positive return for the Panthers and for ice hockey at the arena with your help, patience and continued brilliant support.

Endquote.

The checking of vaccine status for the T20 international at Headingley was shambolic.

Not enough people carrying out the checks and 30 minutes prior to the start of the game the queues were horrendous.

They ended up handing out the wristbands without checking the status.

If the arena are going to do this they'd better get enough staff to carry out the checks, otherwise it will become a shambles.

Regards

Not much chance of avoiding chaos Doom. We can't even cope with a 10 minute jam on the M1. !

I'd be surprised if they made people wear them.
I know the arena is indoors, but when I've been back to Hillsborough there wasn't one person wearing a mask.

Cue list of jokes about Covid not being transmissible between Porcines.

I'm not sure they would attempt to "make" , just saddened at the numbers who chose not to wear a mask that would help keep others safe
