Considering the pre seasons the two teams have had to date, I thought that was a very solid performance by the Steelers.
Overall I thought we just about deserved the win with our new netminder performing well.
It was just good to be at hockey again and get back some normality.......bring on the proper stuff.

Connolly was looking at the puck , Carr was looking at Connolly and moved into his path. They collided but only one went to the floor. Are you allowed to punch people while wearing a blocker and a stick ?

I think this might be a little generous to Connolly, surely Carr was in his line of vision and he did cross the crease. However it would be absurd to suggest Carr might have got injured. It was just a glancing bump. The resultant attack by Carr seemed totally out of proportion. 63 however makes his bed and has to lie in it!

Not sure about individual players with the camera work but as a team we clearly mean to play fast and spring the d up into attack even if it means being caught out occasionally. It looks as if we collectively have the speed to do it and the striking ability. Latal stood out in this regard. Once in the lead we rather sat back in the third. I hope this wont be a standard approach but it seemed a good exercise in a friendly and just about worked. We looked better on face offs than previous few years. D was pretty solid and our penalty kill looked good, not so sure yet about the power play though. New goalie was huge and quite impressive. He can certainly cover the goal!

Aleksuk (spelling?) was involved a good deal and stood out.
