An easy win in the end against an average Notti game side.
We started off well, but were pretty poor for the second half of the first period. We couldn't get any quality offensive zone possession. The second goal flattered us.
Second period was painful to watch. No idea why, but we could get any rhythm going. We continue to give up silly penalties. Their second was on their PP after Ebs tripped their player pretty much in their own. crease.
Third period turned on 2 fantastic saves from Rok and then Davey scoring from a beautiful Polak pass from behind the goal. That was all in about 90 seconds and we never looked back.
Now to get the brooms out and sweep Manchester.

I didn't think it was a particularly fluent display last night, but we got the job done in the end.
My biggest frustration was our breakouts from defence into attack. Our greatest asset when it works well is our speed, but last night it seemed every time we countered either a pass was played behind the man skating out at speed or the pass was miscontrolled.
When we hammered Belfast earlier in the season that side of our game was a well oiled machine, but at the moment it's misfiring.
We'll need to get this right next week, because the best chance we have against a very good Giants side is the speed of our counter attacks.
Great to see another huge crowd at the arena, that should help sell the club to players for next season.
Regards

Whistle too, our best centre on the night. Was telling when Fox replaced Armstrong with Whistle for an o zone face off with four minutes to go. You can see that Fox rates his play highly. Frankly I'd have him on a higher line than either Hodgman or Armstrong on current form.

As always in pro sport regarding the Whistle thread above. One of the biggest factors will be ££££.Clowne57 wrote:He might want to join his old man if he’s still at NottinghamJoesteeler wrote: ↑Sat Apr 02, 2022 11:14 pmHe might wanna join his brother in Belfast….BontSteeler wrote: ↑Sat Apr 02, 2022 10:55 pmI'll be stunned if Whistle isn't here full time next season, that lad has proved every single one us wrong, including a certain Mr Barraso.paul johnston wrote: ↑Sat Apr 02, 2022 10:49 pmI had Dowd; and Boruta at top of my oerformers today. Just seen this in FB

Seems a bit underhand for an official team page to be making an accusation like this. Surely if there was something DOPS should be considering it should go through an official channel.
Thoughts?

Clutching at straws, there was no sucker punch or else the team would have made it clear and gone after the culprit, thats how it works in hockey. No one did that because they didn't see it happen or even believe Kevin Massy when he told them his version of events.steeler pete wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 9:45 amJust seen this in FB

I agree but am puzzled by the motivation to try to stir it up like this. We won't face them again now except in the play offs.
Sour grapes at the loss? Trying to distract from their mediocrity? Seems odd. I could've understood it more from a fan but under the official club FB banner?
