You could argue that Greenfield could have cost us the game with the Delay of Game penalty.

He more than made up for it in the penalty shootout though.

A very poor game against a very poor side.

From watching the best game of the season against Belfast last Saturday, I was completely bored throughout this game against the greatest rilvary in the history of ice hockey that hasn’t existed for at least 10 years.

I’m worried that we’ve turned into last season’s team who were excellent up to Christmas then faded away in the New Year. The game against Cardiff should see where we are. Cause Cardiff aren’t anything special this year either.

Obviously if there’s a podcast later, we will have won the Stanley Cup.
That shouldn't have been a delay of game the pegs neded looking at. I understand why it was called 2nd time in 10 seconds or something but it clearly was an Arena issue. No surprise when they did look at them it didn't happen again after that.

Thought we were largely poor and Our powerplay is as bad as i have ever seen it. we're more threatening on the PK than the PP.

I agree it seems like deja vu from last season even down to league positions winning many games by one, although great to win, is a bit concerning

We should have won this game by 3-4. The inability to get the puck on target from 6-12 feet out from net is pretty shocking with Neumann and Dowd the main culprits. McNally also had a couple of great opportunities that should have been buried. I thought we had some decent spells in the first, dominated the second when we seemed to up the pace. The inability to bury the puck in the second, along with the Panthers getting a few lucky bounces to enable them to pull a goal back late in the second period, led to that nervy, scrappy third. I do love 3 on 3 OT and would prefer playing that until a winner happens than penalty shots.

I thought Nevalainen and Piche were arguably our best players. Kristo reminds me of Tony hand in the way he controls the puck and play, looking like he has all the time in the world.

I can love and hate Petgrave alternatively in the one same shift!

If he could dial the petulance in he'd be a far better asset.

I worry at our lack of energy. This was our only game of the weekend and we didn’t seem to have the energy apart from periods in the 2nd. Whilst we deserved to win the game, we made hard work of it.

Yea the delay of the game penalty was really odd! It was either 3 pens or no penalty what so ever! By allowing the arena staff to re-drill the holes, the ref proved to all that he was wrong!!! could have cost us big time but we got away with it.
I thought the Panthers were very poor, lacked any flair or skills going forward, didn't create anything of note for the hole 59 mins and 55 secs.

But they looked a lot better than in previous visits.

Shows how bad they are I suppose.

It's a concern how we make such hard work of beating these teams though.
