First notable action of the period as Simmonds & Vallerand have a minor set-to.

Vallerand 5 for fighting.

Simmonds gets 5 for fighting and an extra 2 for roughing.

Steelers to the PP.

Warburton turns away all that is thrown at him and the buzzer goes.

Couldn't ask for much more than that! Good team performance and intensity from the start some lovely goals in there as well, which hopefully will give us some confidence going into the weekends games.

Eberle has come really good towards the end of the season after his injuries and illness setbacks, he looks back to himself and is getting in those high danger scoring chance areas in front of the net - really hope he's back again next season.

5 points on the night for Dowdy who could easily have been MOTM as well - another great performance all round from him. Vallerand's silky opener really set the tone and got us going early and hopefully he didn't finish the game only as a precaution.

We've given ourselves the chance to win the league with 4 games to go, which when you look at the injuries we've had and the string of poor results we suffered with Vally out of the lineup, is an excellent achievement, hopefully we can use this momentum against the Giants this weekend and keep the push for the title going.

We must've taken confidence from that result and performance which leaves 3 games against the title rivals 2 of them at home to decide where the title ends up. Let's get that building going and get behind them!

A much better performance than recent efforts. I was worried when we seemed to have our usual decent 8-10 minutes then foot off the gas and Storm came back into the game. Luckily we seemed to raide the tempo and energy again. Would have selected a different mom but that's a personal thing. Thought Boruta had another good game.
Noticed Ellerby didn't seem to ice at all in the third period if I'm not mistaken but was on the bench throughout. Slight injury?? Or coach decision??
