I agree. Think it will split. Fox wont want Belfast to wrap the title up in Sheffield.

A comfortable and deserved victory for Belfast, no complaints there.
They’re certainly a cut above anything else the league has to offer.
We won’t be far off this year but only the best side get to lift the EIHL title.
Although I do think their 18/19 side or Cardiff 19/20 would top this league by some distance.

Why it takes until period three, when already 0-3 behind, for us to really get into the game is beyond me.
I expected us to push on even more after our goal but it didn't galvanise us in the way I hoped and expected.
I thought Ciaran Long played a great game on D for the Giants, and felt Boruta had another good game for us.
Ellerby unfortunately was very weak and easily outshone by the other first rounder Reinhardt.
You could see the difference between a stud netminder and a very good netminder tonight.
For tomorrow Ellerby would be in the stands and bring traversa in. Either play 5 d and 4 full forward lines or drop Mosey down to play D.
I also think fox was outcoached in a big game again.
After two years of being close and I suspect likely to be unsuccessful in the league again I think he needs to look at his game plan style and recruitment. It's close but I think he needs to find a better mix of youth and experience, size, skill and physicality that can play different styles of play when required.

Why who had a very good netminder? I would class Rok as a good import netminder at best.. or a great import backup! Sorry Paul but we have had some very good netminders and a few studs.. Rok or Brust for that matter are nowhere near any of them..paul johnston wrote: ↑Sat Apr 09, 2022 10:01 pmWhy it takes until period three, when already 0-3 behind, for us to really get into the game is beyond me.

No complaints from me, we were outplayed by Belfast for the first 30 minutes and that was pretty much game over.
Faster across the ice, better at the key face offs and solid netminding.
I think we need a lot of changes next season, particularly at centre.

I think Rok is very good but not a stud like Besko.Jayboy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 09, 2022 10:37 pmWhy who had a very good netminder? I agree Doom, I actually think pretty radical surgery needed on this team too which some may find hard to believe but to get from a likely second to first place will need big changes.Doom wrote: ↑Sat Apr 09, 2022 10:38 pmNo complaints from me, we were outplayed by Belfast for the first 30 minutes and that was pretty much game over.

I always say if we give 100% you’ll get no complaints from me.
I can’t complain at our lot tonight. The boys gave everything but unfortunately Belfast are just too good this year. There’s no shame in that.
We constantly huffed and puffed but credit to Belfast, they put a stop to it straight away when something was building.
No shame in tonight. Effort there but Belfast are just too good.

We will have to agree to disagree on that one then mate, i would be disappointed to see either of them back especially has a number one netminder..paul johnston wrote: ↑Sat Apr 09, 2022 10:40 pmI think Rok is very good but not a stud like Besko.Jayboy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 09, 2022 10:37 pmWhy who had a very good netminder?
