Can’t find it Jay other than @mark 8 second video. My eyes might be painted on though. Can you point me in the right direction?Jayboy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 15, 2022 7:07 pmTake a look bud and give us your honest opinion, as a lover of the rough stuff, I would be interested in your opinion, for me the second attack in front of the referee warrants more than 1 game. if you look at the other bans dished out for repeat offences and intend to injure recently then consistency alone would mean at least 3 games surely![]()

Back in the Grand-Slam season, it's a 2 min cross check. I remember Dennis Vial cross checking a Bracknell? guy I think it was as he was stood in front of our goalie, he got 2 mins. Dennis could have easily got 6 mins for that haha.
In today's game, I can't believe how there's not at least a game ban for that. As I've mentioned before if any of our players did the same, they would receive a game ban I'm sure. Do I personally think it's a ban, no I don't, but as you've mentioned Jay I like the rough stuff. I have seen less get a game ban though in today's games.
Something must have sparked it off though as Gagnon hasn't been especially dirty this year and been pretty anonymous against us, bearing in mind it's the greatest rivalry in all of hockey in the Universe.
My honest opinion though is someone from Fife needs to stand up for their team mate next time they play, but that would make the game less sterile so I'm in the minority Jay.

I was thinking more from a intent to injure point view looking at the contact to the head as it is and then the consistency of DOPS..
I have no problem with the rough stuff in fact I think I like it almost as much as you.. but what I want to see is that if those actions from Gagnon are not deemed worthy of a ban then how on earth are some of the other stuff they seem to punish! I mean Delucas recent spearing call was nothing compared to the injury Gagnon could have caused and he got a game ban..
if the on ice officials are now letting stuff go, then great let the game flow and toughen up.. I doubt thats the case though.. .

That's the problem with DOPS though since it's inception. It's just isn't consistent enough.
We've all been saying it for ages and will continue to say it this season and seasons beyond.
De-Luca's incident does not deserve a game ban IMO, but Gagnon's does compared to other game ban incidents issued from DOPS just from this season alone IMO. I'm also sure they'll be people think both deserve and ban, just using these two players as an example.
I personally don't think Gagnon purposely tried to cause injury, but the intent is certainly there. I wouldn't ban either player, but DOPS has in De-Luca's case and while it continues to be inconsistent we will continue to debate it. Same for VAR if you follow football.
I don't know how DOPS is set up, but if it's multiple people reviewing incidents all with a different view point(s), then I guess that's why we would get the inconsistency.

I agree. I think 1 game is lenient for that!mark wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 2:46 pmPuffer gets a ban

Looking at it and thinking it could have been 3 games easily.
