Is this a good time to introduce myself as a new member and very much a recent new fan of the Steelers! Didn't get in tonight until 7.20 so didn't pay for the stream because I missed most of the first period, but have been listening on Radio Sheffield and have been transfixed. The atmosphere tonight sounded bang on and the noise from the Steelers fans came over loud and clear all night. I'll definitely be paying for the stream tomorrow. Just wish I could be there.

First game was back in December so I very much caught the start of the poor run of form after Christmas, but I have been around 8 times now and am hooked. Been a long standing ST holder at the football since my youth ( I won't say which club - its SY but not one of the Sheffield two), but am tiring of the recent poor form, the entrenched cheating in the game, the time wasting, the complete ruin of the game through money and honestly being bored most games. So I followed up on a long standing intrigue about whether hockey was my thing and now I am hooked. I've spent the last few months learning everything I can about the game and watching hours of footage. All in now.

Was worried about Tremblay there but good to hear he's been back out on the ice - hope he's O9K for tomorrow. Thrilled for Greenfield getting the shut out record in a play off semi - well deserved.

Hoping to contribute some inane ramblings on here over the coming weeks and months if that's OK.
Great to read posts like this.....welcome to the Steelers family.....always a bumpy ride.

I'm sat in a hotel in Beeston basking in a very fine performance.

I thought the defence were superb today and completely stifled any efforts from Manchester.

Tait was my own personal motm, I thought his speed caused them problems all night.

Completely unnecessary hit from the Manchester player on Tremblay, the game was over, why take him out?

IBN certainly didn't look out of place.

Biggest praise though is for the drummer who was a little behind us. He really got the supporters going and generated a very good atmosphere.

He'll probably get banned tomorrow.

Regards

And proof that you don't need a decades old PA system turned up to 11 to generate atmosphere.

Hope you and everyone else has a great time today and we come away with the win and the trophy. I'm very jealous.

I did enter the raffle on the Steelers site on Friday to win a couple of tickets but of course, I didn't win. If I was the only person to enter a raffle, I'd come second. So its the laptop and a beer in the fridge for me. ;)

6-0 and I only saw 2 goals!

Missed the last two due to the epic hike to find a non out of order toilet in Nottingham arena.

Thankfully the PA system gets broadcast in the lav so at least knew we'd scored.
Ouch!

Remember going to a football game once where we lost 6-0 and I only saw one goal. We were 2-0 down by the time I got there because of delays on the motorway. I was buying a pie when the third went in, and in the lav for the fourth. Saw the 5th and was back on the motorway by the time the 6th went in.

Your story is similar to mine, but that was the very first game Steelers ever played! Welcome

What a brilliant team effort. I had predicted the win, but not the demolition that occurred. It could easily have been 10 or more if it was not for Deridder making some amazing saves. Congratulations to Greener on creating a new Steelers record. Cardiff will be a tougher game but if we play like we can, then we can do it.
