He did play a season with Belfast in 19/20 (including playing all 6 of their CHL games), and as it happens Coventry as well in the EIHL series. As said though, met his now wife in the area and that'll be a big draw to stay. Even that aside some guys just find a place they like and stick with it, nice contrast to guys who hop around clubs in the league every season.

Piccinich re-signs in Belfast, so their top line remains as per last season.
I suspect they'll have a number of others returning, rumours have Kawaguchi, Carpenter, Hanson and Cooper returning. I expect they'll look very similar to last year albeit with better Brits assuming Sam Jones rumour is correct and B Whistle does go there.

I think Mishmash will do well with Coventry.
His numbers in Norway were comparable with Piccinich.
The problem for him in Belfast is that they have a lot of good forwards and Keefe has his favourites. I guess his ice time and opportunities were fairly limited.
In Coventry he'll probably be top line and get opportunities on the powerplay. It looks a good move for all parties.

A lot of Giants fans suggesting he seems a bit of a lazy player. Probably a bit of column A and a bit of column B.Doom wrote: ↑Fri Jun 27, 2025 5:34 amI think Mishmash will do well with Coventry.

Be interesting to see how he goes with definite top 6 minutes, PP time
Didn’t work out too well for us for keeping many of the grand slam team. Or in this/their case a championship winning team.ginger wrote: ↑Tue Jun 24, 2025 4:44 pmPiccinich re-signs in Belfast, so their top line remains as per last season.

Good players? Yes, but as an opposing fan, I’m not particularly worried that they’ve got an awesome dominant team at this stage. I’m not sure we have either yet.
