Unless people vote with their wallets, then they'll keep charging these ridiculous prices.smbmetal wrote: ↑Tue May 27, 2025 9:32 amCompletely agree that the new arena management don't appear from the outside looking in to be interested in the Steelers fans, which was always my worry once the new owners were announced.FosterMel wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 11:11 pmIt's clear Steelers are a big part of the arena, and it's also clear the new management doesn't give a crap about the fans. What should of happened is a bigger discount for season ticket holders, and they all should have had priority to get a car parking place.

Thing is though, I can guarantee that the car park will be full for every game and guess what?........Because of that, the prices will increase again for the 2026/27 season as well![]()

Unfortunately we had already committed to our season tickets before the car park increases were announced and we need a disabled parking spot to enable us to attend.
This will definitely feature in our decision for next season as the cost is becoming unaffordable for us and we won't be buying a season ticket until we know the cost of parking.
Some comments have been made to the effect that compared to other Arena parking charges Sheffield is inline with those but what needs to be taken into consideration is that it is not a one off attendance it is every week and sometimes twice a week.
The same can be said of the food and drink prices,as a one off for a concert it has become expected to pay extortionate prices but every week, I don't think so.

The increases in car parking prices as well as the season ticket price, for me become an issue. For the first ever I have started to consider whether we can actually afford to be a season ticket holder after next season....

I wonder who's bright idea it was to put the disabled tickets up for sale and not tell all the people who had disabled tickets last year or even for the last two years was that too complicated or could you not be bothered. I never got to know until I got an email 7:00 o'clock at night on the day they'd all been sold out brilliant.
I put this question to customers services at the Arena over a week ago still waiting for a reply

I would be very surprised if you ever get one.. the new arena management seem to have made the decision, that its customers are cash cows and customer relations is a dirty word..Steeler Stats wrote: ↑Wed May 28, 2025 9:14 amI wonder those bright idea it was to put the disabled tickets up for sale and not tell all the people who had disabled tickets last year or even for the last two years was that too complicated or could you not be bothered. The arena had made massive improvements in past seasons in this area prier to the latest takeover...

All this feels like its only the starts of a slippery slope downwards, it seems to me and many others observing the unwanted changes, that ASM Global are in this for a quick profit and have little or no concern for the actual customers or the product they themselves provide or the finished product its customers will struggle to provide... Personally I believe this is just the beginning of the price rises...

They did this previous years too. Not forgetting the year they cancelled bought tickets as they had priced them wrong and rather than letting you pay the extra, they refunded which took over 3 days to come back and they sold all the tickets.Steeler Stats wrote:I wonder who's bright idea it was to put the disabled tickets up for sale and not tell all the people who had disabled tickets last year or even for the last two years was that too complicated or could you not be bothered. Last year I was unable to get a disabled space, but by asking the guys scanning tickets they would either put me in the rows next to the entrance or if available Green disabled.
Funnily on the ST holders evening they offered to put me in the general parking as the Red space available was at the far end.
