Play at anything less than our best and it's a loss. While it is traditional for Nottingham to collapse at Christmas it's far better if we start buying our presents early , two points please.

One of the first big tests of the season.

I’ve not been particularly impressed scraping past a short-benched 7th placed Guildford & bottom place Fife in our recent results.

I would suggest Nottingham are a far better side than Fife & Guildford and it will be very interesting to see if we’re both closely matched which would be suggested by the league positions.

Play like our last two games and it’s a Panthers win.

4-2 Panthers.

Interested in what people’s thoughts are on this one - Greenfield or McAdam against Nott - which would people go for?

Feel like McAdam has to be edging his way in on the big games so far from what I’ve seen of them both.

Greenfield, he's our number one for a reason.

Greenfield has to start as far as I'm concerned.

On paper this should be a Panthers win. They're on home ice and we really aren't playing very well at the moment.

I don't currently see any line which will cause them problems and put them on the back foot. We're also going to have to perform much better at faceoffs if we want to have a chance. Only 34% won at Guildford is appalling.

It's not all negative though, our special teams have been very good this season and given us a chance to win games.

I expect Nottingham to win this by a couple, but we do have a very good record down there, so maybe there is a little hope.

I think I'll probably get the webcast, but I could end up watching Reacher by the 3rd period :Smiled:

Hard one to call as all teams this season pretty average and all capable of wining on any given night,,, home advantage should help panthers but i think we might win this one, 3-2 and of course you will always start with the the squads better keeper [greenfield] unless injuries say otherwise

Interesting to see people’s thoughts on this one - I must admit I’ve personally felt this year like Greenfield has been a little ropey… he never gives me much confidence for some reason I can’t quite put my finger on. The five hole shots he seems to struggle to get down and then shots close to the head catcher side - then he’ll do something spectacular lol. Interesting McAdam is league topping save % ATM.

Starting to sound net minder obsessed now but… on paper we have the better pairing so that gives us a shot.

Haven’t seen much of the panthers this year but I feel like if they are physical, unless we stand up early, which sadly I haven’t seen from us so far, we will be struggling.

Wasn’t overly a fan of Brandon Whistle, but he was so good at face offs - especially in key situations in our end.

Unfortunetly we havent had a great deal to shout about regarding the quality of our centres for a good while now...

I cant remember the last time when we could truely claim to have a decent set of centres accross all 3 lines... :wonder:

Absolutely and possibly our major issue. Plan seemed to have been in the summer-
1a harper
1b Pu
3 Dowd
4 Tremblay

Not quite turned out like that. He always struggles to get natural centres across the top 3 lines as tou say Jay and creates big issues.
