We know some of these guys won't be here next season , retirement for some, a move elsewhere for others. There is only one way to give the likes of Tansey etc the send off they deserve. That is a balcony party at the Sheffield Arena with another playoff trophy.
One final effort, from the players AND the fans.
Let's create another Steelers legend.

3-1 cardiff victory,,,,, hope i am proved wrong,,,, just feel cardiff have the edge and with richie missing and them having extra rest time everything seems to be in their favour BUT we have greenfield and how we have played in the play off games shows what we can be like,,,,,,, so maybe this group is a playoff team rather than a league team,,,, good luck to them
A final and a one-off game comes down to who wants it the most I think.
Cardiff will have had the extra rest, but pretty sure our players will have gone back home to their own beds etc after the game. I know which scenario I would prefer and it wouldn’t be staying in a hotel. I do expect Cardiff to ramp up the physicality, especially after playing what sounds like an exhibition game against Glasgow.
Post game, Fox kept pointing out we were thin etc. Pretty sure both teams will be pretty banged up at this time of the season, but I do hope Tremblay is fit enough to play.
Sounds like a number of players will be moving on/retiring at the end of this game. Not sure if that’s the same for Cardiff? So if there was any extra motivation needed, let’s win it for those players.
Looking forward to the game and hearing the amazing wall of orange, yesterday was the loudest I’ve ever heard our fans when watching a stream.
Will we see an epic double overtime win? I doubt that, but it’s a very difficult game to call. 3-2 Steelers, 1st Overtime win.
LET’S GO STEELERS!

This one is too close to call. Both teams will be wanting this one , let's not forget Cardiff were absolutely robbed of the Playoff trophy last season and will want to right wrongs. Fox is no mug but Thommo certainly knows how to pull out all the stops for finals, I suppose this will settle the Fox Vs. Thommo coaching question at least.
If it gets physical and comes down to special teams then you'd like to think with our PK record this season would favour us. But on the other hand, we can barely win a faceoff so we're probably cooked if it goes to overtime. Heart says steelers win 4-2, head says Cardiff win 2-1.

Does anyone know if the final is broadcast anywhere?
It’s on Premier Sports or £16 for the EIHL stream (the option I will be choosing). The Technician wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2026 2:09 pmDoes anyone know if the final is broadcast anywhere?
