This is based on the Devils having the highest points per game average of the 19/20 campaign before it was curtailed.

HC Yunost Minsk have been removed from the CHL due to concerns for the safety of club staff travelling into Belarus in the current political climate.

They have been replaced by Slovakian side HC Slovan Bratislava.

So the Devils were shutout on home ice 5-0 by Adler.

By all accounts, Mannheim were not stretched at all in the game. Devils recorded just 9 shots on goal the entire game which explains a fair bit of dominance by the DEL side,

Devils' Matt Register logged up an astonishing 30:04 minutes of ice time in the game!

Much better performance last night for Cardiff as they defeated Lausanne 4:1.

This result leaves the Devils third in their group; behind Lukko and Mannheim. Lukko trounced Mannheim 5:1 last night to make it two from two.

In other games, SønderjyskE were beaten 10-0 on home ice by EV Zug...ouch!

Watched both games and Cardiff were really poor first game against the German team, but in the second they really turned it on and looked very strong, fast capable team!
Benny had a few 'head-in-the-clouds' moments against Adlar but he looked every bit a quality player in the second.
Cardiff have some very good, quick players especially Standford in their team not sure about the big NHL guy Dupont??? but the NM is excellent! so good luck to them, that result will give them the confidence to progress.

Cardiff playing in the CHL gives them a great pre-season. They easily won their 2nd game.

We will have played 2 games by the time we play Cardiff on a banner raising night where in my experience we’ve not won many games in recent times on these types of nights.

Cardiff will have had a head start playing in the CHL and I expect they will come out very fast.
