https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/112413/adam-raskaHe is a good player”explained head coach Aaron Fox on announcing the news
Adam is a quick player who players a physical game, he is skilful and brings a pass first mentality. He will be a good centre for us and will slot in nicely with Lats (Martin Latal), I think he will be a part of a premium line in our league.

I like the look of this guy and think he should fit in well with Latal.
The Czech league is always much more difficult to judge a player based on stats, because the players we sign from there are more likely to be role players and therefore their numbers aren't usually anything like players from the ECHL.
My gut feeling is this guy should be good for a few more goals than Latal, which would put him somewhere in the mid 20's.
I've not seen any mention of faceoffs in any of the reports on him, but I hope he's decent.
The Czech league has been a happy hunting ground for us, so no complains from me.

A wait and see signing based on previous stats and hope the pieces slot together once we know the full roster. An unexpected break out season for latal and Raska’s previous doesn’t scream top line pairing which is being alluded to but we shall see! Glad he’s described as playing a physical game, just hope he does, just a shame it’s yet another average size player that is going to be more of an agitator than a deterrent. Fingers crossed he’s a successful piece in the puzzle, good age and point to prove!

Raška looks a decent centre. Czech Extraliga is a defensive based league mainly so he’ll likely offer good two-way smarts in a forward position.
He’s played 208 Czech Extraliga games and comes in at a good age.
Czech players tend to be good stickhandlers in tight areas due to the high pressure players face in the league, things happen very quickly there.

Liking the sound of this guy from what I've read and heard, seems to be another elite level skater and lined up to play with Latal and another on RW possible another Czech teammate?
Another speedy skater and someone who plays quite physical and a pass first guy, but from looking at his highlights he looks to have good hands and a decent scoring touch when given the chance, he's been playing a bottom 6 role in the top Czech elite league so will no doubt be a good player at both ends for us in this league.
Excited to see him in orange!
Sounds like we have 6 more NEW signings sorted as well and ready to announce, but one is a NA defenseman who Steelers imports will know, but we may have to wait for that one?

Looks a decent 2nd line Center especially if he’s good at face offs. Not writing him off as a first liner as he has similar stats to latal who was excellent last year. Looks like he’ll play with latal as well so if he is second line it looks promising for our first!

Wait and see signing for me, we’ve been very successful in the Czech market from what I’ve seen in recent seasons their workhorses. I’d like to think based on his stats alone that he’d be bottom 6 but as previous posters have said the Czech league is hard to gauge its defence first oriented, I’d say there’s not a lot of risk to this signing if it doesn’t work out could be easily replaced.

I'd be very happy with Raska and Latal on the second line to be honest!Daniel14 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 9:14 amLooks a decent 2nd line Center especially if he’s good at face offs. I'd then be even more excited to see what Fox has lined up for the first line.
