My bet is that it fizzles out like a damp chip bag tomorrow... Aaron will get the squits and clamp it all down, I hope I am wrong but fear the worst, to be honest I dont care to much about away form in general as long as they bring home the points and we avoid injury, the home games are where all my money goes... that when I want those types of games when I've paid my money to watch it live...

It will be interesting to see how this one goes, because no doubt we dominated the game last night.
I suspect the poor condition of the ice probably played a little bit into our hands, because we've been training on it and we appear to have a slightly bigger and more physical team.
On better ice the Panthers might be a bit slicker with their passing and puck control.
No points up for grabs, but hopefully another win to build the confidence.

Rewatched the game this morning. Ice was so so bad. But what was pleasing and why even with their speed I'm not as concerned is our forecheck and neutral zone trap was so good. I think they only beat it about 4 times all game. We forced so many turnovers and then transitioned so quickly - really impressive for game 1.Doom wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 12:35 pmIt will be interesting to see how this one goes, because no doubt we dominated the game last night.

Don't get me wrong, I think it'll be a lot closer today, and wouldn't be surprised if we lost. Big emotional night last night and for the first game that's probably tough the next day.
I don't doubt that Paredes will have made it clear they need to be much better today
