yes pre season i thought they did not look too bad on paper,,, expected better from them, other than steelers fife is one team i dont mind doing well,,,,got a bit of history to the clubsmbmetal wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 9:45 amIf my memory serves me correctly there was quite a bit of pre-season excitement on here regarding a few players that have signed for them? The current evidence would suggest this isn't really working out at the moment.
Conceding 77 goals in 16 games in all competitions isn't very good reading. Wonder how long the coach has left before they make a change?
Reckon we could give Greenfield the night off for this one and give a couple of our two-way players a run out if available?
7-1 Steelers.
on the evidence ive seen, I wouldnt start De-Filippo next door for the Steeldogs...BontSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 1:54 pmFor me, if Greenfield isn't rested on Wednesday then Fox doesn't rate the back up he signed, unlike Morrone who stepped up on each occasion & to be fair deserved more starts, De Flippo must start, get his confidence up.
O dear, that doesn't bode well for the season, Greenfield will be burnt out if he hasn't got help so he can rest up.Jayboy wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 2:15 pmon the evidence ive seen, I wouldnt start De-Filippo next door for the Steeldogs...BontSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 1:54 pmFor me, if Greenfield isn't rested on Wednesday then Fox doesn't rate the back up he signed, unlike Morrone who stepped up on each occasion & to be fair deserved more starts, De Flippo must start, get his confidence up.![]()
Which I’ve been banging about most of this season.BontSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 3:02 pmO dear, that doesn't bode well for the season, Greenfield will be burnt out if he hasn't got help so he can rest up.Jayboy wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 2:15 pmon the evidence ive seen, I wouldnt start De-Filippo next door for the Steeldogs...BontSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 1:54 pmFor me, if Greenfield isn't rested on Wednesday then Fox doesn't rate the back up he signed, unlike Morrone who stepped up on each occasion & to be fair deserved more starts, De Flippo must start, get his confidence up.![]()
It's a massive shame we couldn't persuade Morrone to stay on but I can't blame the guy as he would've wanted more minutes, which he's clearly getting at his new club, just looked his stats up and doing very well with a save percentage of 92.3smbmetal wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 5:18 pmWhich I’ve been banging about most of this season.BontSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 3:02 pmO dear, that doesn't bode well for the season, Greenfield will be burnt out if he hasn't got help so he can rest up.Jayboy wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 2:15 pmon the evidence ive seen, I wouldnt start De-Filippo next door for the Steeldogs...BontSteeler wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 1:54 pmFor me, if Greenfield isn't rested on Wednesday then Fox doesn't rate the back up he signed, unlike Morrone who stepped up on each occasion & to be fair deserved more starts, De Flippo must start, get his confidence up.![]()
If De-Filippo isn’t up to the standard that Fox wants then we need to be seeking a replacement.
There’s been a few CC games he could have played in, but we’ve played Greenfield instead. Which says to me that Fox doesn’t have confidence in him.
With the CHL games, we play more games this year, we need a backup that can play a dozen or so games. Morrone played 15 games last season and of course won every one.
Does one of our Brit goalies get this game if De-Fillipo isn’t favoured?
