Are we not done with CC group games yet? :asleep: :asleep: :asleep: :asleep: :asleep: :asleep:

Really way too long a competition in my mind.

Don't think Storm have a great record at the arena only winning about 2 games in the last 100 years?

5-2 Steelers.

Was anyone in attendance for this game?

The 5 of us were, and 17240 others. It was the end of the first Superleague season, now 27-and-a-half years ago.

Manchester are a dangerous team this season having won in Nottingham last week and twice pushed Cardiff hard in Cardiff.

I do think it's all about us though and which Steelers team turns up. If it's the one which dominated against Cardiff last Saturday the Storm won't be able to live with us. If it's the dozy imitation of a Steelers team we've seen a few times this season we could be in for a scrap.

Does Greenfield get a rest for this one?

I'm hoping Janatuinen gets a go again in this one, possibly further up the lines.

It might not seem an important game, but if we make the CC final against Belfast we'll be kicking ourselves if we concede home advantage due to losing tomorrow.

Regards

Just before my time.

It's a shame really that when Storm come to our games they aren't well supported anymore. They don't even appear to sing any of the their old songs when they come to our arena either.

I used to dread the Storm games, now they're almost guaranteed wins at home, more difficult in their arena of course. Although our CC record is pretty decent overall!

I was there. With my two teenagers, they are 45 now! Seems like yesterday. What an atmosphere and Mike Hammond ( ?) the announcer going round the audience emptying ladies handbags to see what they had in them! Can't do that now. !

Game On

back in the days,,,,,,i did back then dislike storm more than i did panthers and saw them play various opponents at their arena in the hope of seeing them get beat. Shame now that a big city like manchester does not have the following and arena like it did
