Wouldn't make anything out of it yet. When our takeover was "close" to finishing, it wasn't announced as so until 8 weeks after that.

I would imagine they will still be with us. Going on the fact that teams have been selling their season tickets already... the Steelers having a 32 game one (27 league & 5 CC), so that would work out at playing the 9 other teams 3 times each. (and then whatever dodgy way they decide to run the CC this year, which if that is 5 games, I would imagine is going to be the same as last season)

Good to see Fife remaining in the league.

The worry is that the arena clubs and Cardiff seem to keep upping their spend, which will make it hard for Fife to keep in touch and rebuild their fan base.

Good luck to their new owners, the league needs a competitive Fife. Last season the Kazakh gamble failed and they turned into a shambles.

Regards

Gareth Chalmers has been named as the new chief commercial & operations officer of the Fife Flyers, which doesn't seem to have gone down well with some fans!

Yup, and quite rightly so. Only positive is with Max Birbraer in overall charge, if he's anything like off-ice as he was on it, will demand 100% at all times and not suffer any fools. So if Chalmers ends up not being an asset, he won't be allowed to hang around for long.

Won't get into the ins and outs of it all, but for a long-time a family member was given a free sponsorship at Clan for services in return. They ended up walking away as when it came time to discuss renewing it, Chalmers cancelled it three times in a row at the 59th minute of the 11th hour after they travelled up to Braehead waiting for him to arrive at the meeting point. Speaking to other sponsors, they had very similar experiences with him, and that's a large reason why sponsors at Clan had a higher than average churn.

Not a good or professional way to do business!
