I don't get this wanting Nottingham to win. If they lose they will still be within 4 points of the Giants.
I hope they lose.

Belfast are currently 2 points ahead of Nottingham with a game in hand, which is against Fife.Firefox1001 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 4:34 pmI don't get this wanting Nottingham to win. If they lose they will still be within 4 points of the Giants.

Agreed, it's been a good effort to stay in it, although partly aided by Belfast doing their best to make it interesting.
Completely agree. Nottingham deffo struck gold on Grande like we have with Greenfield. Be interesting to see if both are in the league next year (I have my doubts!). Bednard was good, but they probably don't take quite as many wins with him Vs with Grande. Even with Fossier they've not scored as well as us or Belfast.Doom wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 4:59 pmAgreed, it's been a good effort to stay in it, although partly aided by Belfast doing their best to make it interesting.
We've had more to contend with than any other team due to the CHL, it was obviously draining both physically and mentally against such quality opposition.
I thought we might get away with it, but I think that final game in Berlin killed us. Looking back we lost Greenfield, Vainio, Dowd and Watling, with Balmas and Leavens also picking up knocks.
The 7 losses in 10 games after that have more than likely cost us the title. The best two teams this year have been ourselves and Nottingham, but the CHL cost us and Nottingham took too long to sort themselves out. Grande and Fossier have transformed their team.

As I was saying about StormBontSteeler wrote: ↑Sun Mar 30, 2025 12:15 pmPersonally wouldn't be writing Manchester off tonight & I certainly wouldn't write the Panthers off next week either.
We just need to win our remaining 3 games, that's all that matters, concentrate on ourselves.
And a contract...Doom wrote: ↑Sun Mar 30, 2025 6:45 pmI really didn't see that result coming, even though Manchester are desperate.
It looks like Belfast had a similar night to our home game against Coventry, when plenty of chances are created, but nothing will go in.
I'd say it's now 50/50 between us and Belfast, with Nottingham outsiders
Two tough games for us, but Belfast with the slightly tougher fixtures.
If we do win it, Tony Smith should be sending D'Aoust a bottle of champagne.
