Fair play to Greenfield, Saucerman and Tremblay, I thought they were all good tonight.

Greenfield, really? I'm not exaggerating when I say that's the worst performance I've seen from him in the EIHL, until the last 5 minutes he was dropping pucks like they were hot potatoes, was reminding me very much of DiCaro!

As for the game in general, it thankfully was a cracker! And easily the best (and only) 60 minute performance we've given all season. Everyone in a Clan jersey played out their skin chasing everything, not a sustainable way to play hockey matches night in & out over 7 months, but it might be a goer over our limited 2 weeks of play-offs! We'll need a repeat performance on Sunday to get through, Steelers hit the iron a few times which could have made things so very different, can't rule you out until the final buzzer goes.

Thanks to the Steelers fans at the front of their block throwing their torn-up raffle tickets on the ice to stop the game twice, gave us that breather we needed to make it 3-1! On a more serious note, I have no idea what they were thinking doing that right after you scored. Maybe thought they were being clever, and that would help see it end 2-1? Fitting karma for those particular individuals it back-fired, best incentive for them to never try such nonsense again.

Think it'll be another marathon on Sunday!

I'd agree Greenfield did fight the puck at times, which is unusual for him, but he also had to deal with quite a few one on one breakaways which could easily have had us further behind.

That save at the end which would have made it 4 - 1 kept us in the tie....just.

Agreed about the paper on the ice, that was just stupid and killed any momentum we might have built.

Just looking at the player stats and Saucerman and Diffley were worst with -2.

Vainio and Guimond were best on +1.

I actually thought Saucerman played quite well and battled hard, but Diffley did look way off the pace with some very poor passing. I suspect he's not yet fully up to game speed after his injury.

They'll all need to be on top of their game on Sunday.

Outbattled by a physical, chippy Clan team over 60 minutes. We really can't handle that style of hockey. Diffley had a shocker.

Didn’t see the game, I’m surprised more teams don’t opt for that style of play against us, as it’s probably our biggest weakness. Two goals isn’t a massive lead though and if we put a full 60 minutes together or bring the CHL form, we should be ok.

Was fortunate to be up Glasgow way for the weekend so slotted in the game! I'd agree, it is our achilles heel but we can sometimes get over it when teams can't play that way for a full 60 but Clan did. The late concession of the third was real amateur stuff.
