If we play how we did in periods 2 &3 on Sunday with a tad more clinical finishing :peek: I would expect us to win this one, we heavily outplayed and out chanced them for the vast majority but only had ourselves to blame with so many chances squandered.

Think we may also see some changes in the lines especially with Jones expected to return to defense. Some interesting decisions as the 3rd line of Connolly-Pitule-Dowd hasn't been looking great, potentially Mosey back with Ciampini and Allen which allows Neumann to center Conns and Dowd - or put Mosey with Dowd and Conns and let Neumann continue on top line RW. Thought Mosey played well with Latal and Raska previously too but maybe Dowd could benefit from the speed and tenacity of the Czechs. I'd be tempted to promote Whistle from 4th to 3rd and let Pitule center the 4th as well.

I would like to see us go:

Ciampini-Allen-Neumann - most productive line, seem to have chemistry going - risky splitting them up - but could also get some others firing if they are split up.
Latal-Raska-Dowd - Dowd needs a goal to get going and a speedier line might help.
Connolly-Whistle-Mosey - would like to see Whistle with a chance to play with more offensive players
McNally-Pitule-Jono - size of McNally and Pitule together to try and create some havoc?

Nevalainen-Petgrave - Petgrave looked class above on Saturday, barely leaves the ice so kinda fits in all 3 defensive units
Piche-Jones - Piche has a rocket and we've missed Jones since he's been out
Schulze-Davey - Schulze quietly been going about his business so far maybe less offensive but hasn't made many errors - Davey seems to have upped the physicality

Greenfield - been fantastic since he's been the front runner - can't see us not starting him again
McLaughlin / Warburton

From reading Fox's interview with BW, the 2nd and 3rd lines will be getting mixed up. I'm assuming the 4th line will change to with Jones coming back in and I'd assume Graham sits although I think he's been playing well so could be another.

Driving on the M1 last night, we saw warning signs of night closures over the weekend around the Tinsley viaduct area. The exit off the southbound M1 to the M18 was shut last night, not sure if this will be part of the closures over the weekend.

Good to see Brandon being moved up the lines, deserves a shot. To me Conns lucky to still be third line but suppose toss up between him and McNally for that position

Can someone please tell Shulze that he is allowed to clear the crease of an opposing player. He doesn’t just have to stare at them…..

He and Piche are terrible for that.

Also please tell Neuvaleinen that we are in Orange and Black not Gold and Black….

A perfect summary of the 1st period for me that :thumb:

We had a chance but Panthers defensive coverage was much better than ours is currently.

Some of the calls so far have been awful and a big part of the sanitising of the game in the uk and why on large a lot the games are painfully dull, the roughing call on Petgrave in the first was horrendous
