It's OK saying its legal in Canada, but we aren't Canada are we? It's ok saying it will be legal here one day, but the fact is at this time it wasn't.

The whole point is he let the team down. Whether you agree with the rules or not, when we needed him and with the situation at the time it was hard to find a replacement, it affected the club on the playing side.

You’re absolutely right he let the team down (and himself) because it’s not legal here and there was a significant risk he’d be found out. IMO letting the team down is the main reason I think we wouldn’t have him back.

I suppose one of our checks with import players from North America now is whether they’ve smoked cannabis and if so how long ago? As Ginger says alcohol has been and could be a problem for some. I hope there’s some screening for that too and maybe the club’s hard stance with Deluca is based on previous experience of players letting the club down.

Whether it's legal or not its banned in sport....he knew it.
