The big one, in so many ways.. The first time the 2 teams have met since the night we would all rather forget, its bound to be a difficult afternoon for a lot of us.... lets all come together at christmas and have a great game for the right reason...

A difficult game in every sense of the word. Both for fans, players and staff from both sides.

A sell out crowd could make for an intense atmosphere for both sides.

This is a really difficult game to call. It could be (understandably) an exhibition style game, or there could be some unintentional nastiness which would make for a very interesting game indeed.

Subconsciously no one can tell how the players will react in a competitive game with the tragic events that happened the last time the two teams played.

Let's hope for some positive media coverage for this game as the very least. The media was all over the tragic events, but zero coverage since.

3-2 Steelers.

It's going to be a different atmosphere to the usual Steelers v Panthers games on Boxing Day.

I'm not really one for booing, but I don't clap the opposition on to the ice either. For this one however I will be hoping all the crowd give the Panthers a very good reception as they enter the ice.

It doesn't mean supporters can't show their anger during the game if there is any dirty play, but let's show respect for our opponents at the start.

As for the game, I hope it's played with the same level of intensity as any other, but it would be understandable if some players do hold back a little.

We need the points though.....so come on Steelers.

Regards

I echo this to the word. I think it may be more difficult for them than it was for us, so a collective effort is needed to get it done.

I hope a welcome back is taken as intended but then we get back to business as usual as soon as possible. I think this would be best for all.

I think it will be harder for the Nottingham players and supporters, we have already faced that challenge and I know it wasn't easy for many, they will have had this on their mind for weeks now. I hope the appropriate organisations are present for anyone who needs help.

I still want to win the game of course, that's a given, but I will say thank you to all the Nottingham fans who decided to travel today and support their team.

Did I hear in one of the interviews that Panthers players had been to the Arena recently for a reacquaintance/training session?

Not feeling this at all.

Maybe when the puck drops all will feel a bit more normal 🤔
