Blaze significantly more threatening in second. No real alarms though. Greenfield had to do what he does a few times. Steelers seemed to commit less to forecheck which is probably sensible.

No obvious injuries and everyone played as normal as far as I could see. Vallerand perhaps not quite at his dangerous best. Ciampini who got MOM was excellent. He is having a bit of run of good form.

Ciampini seems to be in a purple patch.

I bet Tony Smith went into the dressing room afterwards and gave them all a rollicking.

How is he supposed to sell the 2nd leg now, especially to Coventry supporters? 🤷‍♂️

Regards

Dominant, fast, confident offensive play in that first period combined with woefully soft, inept d zone Blaze play resulted in us realistically putting this semi final to bed after 20 mins. SOG, faceoffs won were more or less the same.
Difference being the scoreline and the netties save percentages!!
Terrific result with Allen edging my MOM. He's been the weakest import performer for me so was nice to see him have a stormer.

I appreciate I'm jumping the gun slightly but where is the Challenge Cup Final being played?
